We check the Bureau of Prisons’ public inmate locator for changes to the facility listed for the person you’re watching.
How often do you check?
During beta, we check twice a day, at 6 AM and 6 PM Eastern. If the locator shows a different facility, we’ll notify you by email.
Can I use this to track someone in a state prison?
Right To Notify checks the federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator, so it covers people in the federal system. It does not monitor state or county facilities.
What information do I need to sign up?
Your email address and the person’s register number. You’ll verify your email before monitoring begins, and there’s no account to create.
How do I stop receiving alerts?
You can unsubscribe from any email we send. No account is needed.
